Just trust FF Wong. The latest few moves already added significant value to shareholders, namely, the buying back of BPJ, the transfer of fund and property management businesses for a 24.1% stake in Unified Industrial and now exploring reit listing. Its dividend payout yield is also not exactly on the low side.

There is only one playbook for SGX listed co' s of all hues. Sit on land for a long time, enrich yourself, friends and family, while taking leveraging on land with loans from banks to grow the NAV, dish out ridiculously low dividends and when share price is trading at significant discount do either a ' friendly' buyout with low ball offer or list a REIT, while holdng on to majority share. All the innovators are elsewhere.

It seems logical that at some point, Boustead will monetise the assets and market is betting on a reit listing but Boustead instead transfer its fund and property management businesss to UIB sometime in March 2025. Who would know despite the development, Boustead is now looking at listing a reit! Now there is no question I would subsribe to scrip for this round of dividend and looking for price weakness to accumulate a bit more.

Very stong upward momentum. At this rate it is likely that the scrip price would be set above $1, probably between $1.05 and $1.15. Unlikely for me to subscribe to it if that' s the case but it is still very long to go before the scrip election period. Plenty of time to decide.

Period of election for scrip in lieu of dividend should be between 21/8/25 and 8/9/25. New shares will be credited on 26/9/25. If the share price remain at current level till the announcement of scrip price, then likely the scrip price is going to be just below $1 or even above $1, depending on the amount of discount given. It is unlikely that the discount will be more than 10%. If too pricy may opt for 50/50 scrip and cash. Let' s see.  | ||||

OCBC raises fair value for Boustead Singapore to $1.46 following FY2025 
 
 
Boustead' s total FY2025 dividend of 7.5 cents implies a yield of 7.2% based on the May 26 closing price of $1.04 
 
Ada Lim of OCBC Investment Research has kept her " buy" call on Boustead Singaporefollowing its FY2025 earnings that was in line with expectations. While the company flagged wider economic uncertainties in the near term, Lim believes that the company is disciplined in managing costs and improving capital efficiency. " We continue to look favourably upon Boustead&rsquo s long-term growth profile as its businesses provide exposure to multiple secular trends," says Lim in her May 29 note, as she raised her fair value on this counter from $1.39 to $1.46. |

Boustead shares rise to a 4-year high on robust earnings and dividend boost
Company&rsquo s shares hit their highest price in a decade as the engineering group sees a 58% increase in net profits
[SINGAPORE] Shares of Boustead : F9D +4.81% rose on Tuesday (May 27) morning after the engineering and technology group reported a jump in net profit.
 
As at 9.52 am, the counter climbed to S$1.09, up 4.8 per cent or S$0.05 higher than its Monday closing price of S$1.04, with 466,100 shares changing hands, ShareInvestor data showed. This is the highest price Boustead shares have risen to in four years &ndash the last time this happened was in July 2021.
 
The counter remained at S$1.09 as at 2.25pm after the midday trading break, with 1.9 million shares transacted.
 
The firm had on Monday posted a 58 per cent increase in net profit to S$59.1 million for the six months ended Mar 31, compared with the year-ago period.
 
The mainboard-listed company said in a bourse filing that profits had increased despite a dip in revenue due to lower tax income and a one-off gain.
 
A final dividend of four Singapore cents per share has also been proposed, with an additional special dividend of two Singapore cents per share. The total dividend proposed and paid for FY2025 will be 7.5 Singapore cents, compared with 5.5 Singapore cents in FY2024.
 
Going forward, the group said that elevated geopolitical tensions and a protectionist trading environment threatens global manufacturing supply chians and may cause energy market disruptions that would impact the core businesses of the group, though it remains cautiously optimistic.

Boustead&rsquo s H2 profit up 58% at S$59.1 million 
A 42% drop in revenue to S$231.9 million was offset by a one-off gain of S$29 million and lower income tax expense 
 
[SINGAPORE] Engineering and technology group Boustead Singapore : F9D -0.95%&rsquo s net profit for the six months ended Mar 31, 2025, increased 58 per cent to S$59.1 million compared to the year-ago period.
 
This came despite revenue decreasing 42 per cent to S$231.9 million over the same time frame.
 
On a per-share basis, earnings for the half were 12 Singapore cents, up from 7.8 Singapore cents in the year-ago period.
 
The mainboard-listed company said in a bourse filing on Monday (May 26) that profits had increased despite a dip in revenue due to lower income tax expenses and a one-off gain.
 
The drop in revenue was a result of significantly lower revenue from Boustead Projects and lower revenue from the energy engineering division on lower order backlog carried forward at the end of FY2024.
 
For the six months, income tax expense narrowed to S$9.2 million from S$14.9 million, while there was a S$29 million gain on the non-cash transfer of the Boustead Projects fund management business to UIB.
 
In March, Boustead agreed to transfer its fund and property-management businesses to Hong Kong-based real estate company Unified Industrial. As part of the agreement, Boustead Singapore&rsquo s subsidiary BP-Unity took a 24.1 per cent stake in Unified Industrial.
 
For the 2025 financial year, the group&rsquo s net profit was up 48 per cent at S$95 million, from S$64.2 million in FY2024, while revenue was down 31 per cent at S$527.1 million from S$767.6 million in FY2024.
 
The group said that similar factors affected both half and full-year results.
 
For FY2025 by segment revenue, the group&rsquo s geospatial business increased 4 per cent to S$221.4 million its real estate solutions business revenue was down 64 per cent at S$134.3 million its energy engineering business down 9 per cent at S$158.9 million and its healthcare segment up 14 per cent at S$12.1 million.
 
A final dividend of four Singapore cents per share has been proposed, with an additional special dividend of two Singapore cents per share. The total dividend proposed and paid for FY2025 will be 7.5 Singapore cents, compared to 5.5 Singapore cents in FY2024.
 
The group said that its real estate solutions segment was &ldquo affected by the significantly lower order backlog carried forward at the end of FY2024 and hampered by challenging and severe business conditions and business development activities&rdquo .
 
Group gross profit in FY2025 was 3 per cent higher at S$233.3 million, with gross margin of 44 per cent, compared to 30 per cent in the previous year, &ldquo due to good cost management on executed projects&rdquo .
 
The group notes that for a comparative review, after adjusting for other gains/losses, impairments and other exceptional adjustments, all net of non-controlling interests, net profit for FY2025 would have been 8 per cent higher year-on-year.

I too would subscribe if the reinvestment price is ~0.96-0.98 However, something is missing in the announcement ... it reads ...
Shareholders entitled to the Dividends will be eligible to participate in the Scrip Dividend Scheme  subject to the terms and conditions of the Scrip Dividend Scheme (the &ldquo Scheme Statement&rdquo ,  annexed to this announcement), and may elect to receive in Shares in respect of all (or part thereof) of his/her  entitlement to the Dividends. But there is NO Annexe!!!

with consistent profitability and earnings per share of nearly 20 cents, the company seems well-positioned to sustain a baseline dividend of at least 6 cents per annum. Understandably, the Group has always taken a conservative capital management approach

Huat! 6 cents dividend this round, whole FY 7.5 cents. Yield on cost 6.5% but if factored in accumulated dividends of 21 cents over last 4 years, the yield on cost is about 8%. This FY' s dividend include a 2 cents SD so history is unlikely to be repeated. Nonetheless, if Boustead can maintain a base dividend of about 6 cents, it is already very good. Would subscribe for scrip dividend if the offer price is below $0.965.
