x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Getting some more info on FigTree.   It used to be an associate company of Freightlink responsible for the construction of the various warehouses.   Freightlink used to have its warehouses built by a Statutory linked company who used to provide design and build offers having an in-house building design team in the Statutory Board and then sub-contracted out the building work to its smaller contractors.   That Statutory linked company has very little assets as well as debts as it was set up as an experiment to try out how Statutory Board could diversify its role.  Not quite sure if   FigTree is &ldquo copying&rdquo   the same company model but this may be how Freightlink was the major shareholder.   While there is nothing wrong with such a company structure were it clients become the major owner of the listed company.  This sort of company will always has a tendency to &ldquo cling&rdquo onto its &ldquo mother&rdquo until it can set its foot to compete with its larger brothers like Chip Eng Seng.  Somehow,  one may not be able to look at FigTree at the moment without looking at Freightlink   as this is where FigTree will get most of its building contracts.   One question will be   what if   Freightlink&hellip ? Freightlink is now busy setting up a new company called VinGroup in Vietnam.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	The SSH knew that their holdings will be used for shortings but they might not be aware that it will do so much damage as FigTree  is a company with sound management and good earnings.  They could  do nothing  now to reverse until the holdings are returned.  They might be also some who just nake short and also some SSH selling.  We should know by next week when SGX makes some  announcements.    nngeeh Member 24-May-2014 21:06         About nngeeh         Contact           Quote!               x 0 x 0 Alert Admin I think the ssh wouldn' t want to loan out for someone to shoot down their own share just to get only small percentage from the loan, but their total holding had gone down by almost 50%. This wouldn' t not release their own holding as the loan share will need to return back. The more likely scenario is that there could be a possibility of private placement where it is normally placed out at 10% of it' s current average price. The share price will be shorted down to make the placement more attractive.

If they not going to give up any sooner, soon can see it reaches 22cts or even lower level. Since 22cts is its ipo price, I think that should be a strong support level.

Novice13      ( Date: 24-May-2014 20:42) Posted: If Figtree major shareholders or mgmt loan out their shares to let speculators to bring down its shares price, I think that it an irresponsible act that likely tarnishes the company reputation and not fair to retail investors who bought the shares at sky high prices. I dun think any retail investors would like to see their shares investments to reduce more than 50% within a few days period without any good reason. For the second reason of shareholders cutting down their holding stakes after 6 mths of its ipo launching, why the needs for the major shareholders to reduce their holdings stakes if they are confident in this company or maybe they think that it is overvalued?
