ASEAN returns to using fossil fuels, backing out from net zero plan. And only plan to phasing out at the earliest 2040 and that may delay till 2050. So Geo can still enjoy the profits for at least another 15 years which is too far away from totally phasing out. And we can continue to collect bumper dividends from Q3 onwards

Why Trafigura Is willing to pay GEO a US$50M&ndash $100M prepayment for the coking coal that is still in the ground
While  the contractor (EWI) Is willing to pay US$60M upfront to bid for the job? 
 
I really think Geo Energy is a well managed and trusted Singapore listed company and
can structure the deals efficiently and cleanly for all parties. 
A win win win outcome imo.
 
1. ​ Geo Energy provides the raw, highly valuable underground resource (the Harfa asset)
but wants to protect its cash balance.
 
2. ​ EWI brings the technical muscle and the heavy machinery, paying the upfront CAPEX
to secure a 15-year operational monopoly.
 
3. ​ Trafigura brings the balance sheet power and global buyer network,
paying the operational ramp-up costs to secure 100% of the physical coal production.

A tp of 1.27 yet it cannot sustain a 60c share price.
Now back down to 59.5c.
There is something seriously funny (??) about this stock, has been for 
a couple of years already.

geo shd rebound to the 60-65c soon. hiway completion scheduled to complete in jun/july, only a coupla of weeks away.

  • A significant prepayment amount of US$50-100 million has been agreed with Trafigura Pte Ltd (&ldquo Trafigura&rdquo ) to secure future offtake of PT Harfa Taruna Mandiri (&ldquo Harfa&rdquo ) coal.
