Actually all crises come down to one thing, that is " MONEY" . People quarrel over money, so country to country. China n Japan quarrel over an island, which may have big oil reserve.( money). Russia in Ukraine also bcause of economic advantage in the black sea, money again. But they back out, because their mkt n currency got whack ,money again cause them to back out. But there may come a time, people go crazy and say , let dies together, a life for a life. That is the scenario can happen by accident.

And there are some who advertise theirs over here. If they are smart, they shd buy and not make call, or call other to their so call trading course to make money fr them. Learn trading is good, but follow blindly is as good as go casino. Value investing is still the way. So for me, it is 60% trade, and 40% value invest. Benefited from both. |

Nobody can predict the future. But some trading school try to use 1929 as a comaprision to current bull. This is absurb, how can 1929 be compare to currebt day. Back then we dont have 1 T QE, we dont have internet , and high inflation of today. So it is a totally out of phase. And nver, there some so called trading school which use Feng Shui, my fr attended a so call v3go. The school tell him Feng shui master said market will crash in Feb, What a joke? If there is a referedum, there is peace. Do the West or Kiev think in this way, to get consensus from citizen?. Or likely want to hav the whole cake to themself and eat it. Kiev problem is bigger and messier with big boy, each having their own interest and agende. |

Happy 5th Anniversary To The Bull Market5 years ago today, the S& P 500 made its post-crisis low at the oddly demonic 666 level. What many may not remember is... the last so-called-at-the-time " secular" bull market lasts exactly 5 years and 1 day (from October 10th 2002 to October 11th 2007)... it's different this time though. The constituents of the Straits Times Index (STI) will remain unchanged following a quarterly review, said a joint statement by Singapore Press Holdings, Singapore Exchange and FTSE Group yesterday. The STI reserve list, which includes the five highest-ranking non-constituents of the STI by market capitalisation, will be, in order of size:... Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust, Keppel Land, UOL Group, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Holdings and CapitaCommercial Trust. S& P 500 hits new high as Ukraine fears fade A flurry of political maneuvering on the global stage couldn't stop stocks from reaching a new record Thursday. The S& P 500 ended the day at an all-time closing high. The Dow Jones industrial average closed higher as well, but the Nasdaq posted a small loss. The gains came despite a tense political standoff between Russia and Western powers over Ukraine. Russian troops moved into Ukraine's Crimea Peninsula over the weekend, effectively taking control of the strategically important territory. For now, investors are confident that the conflict will not escalate into a full-blown war. But the crisis could have unpredictable political ramifications. Political leaders in Crimea have called for a referendum this month on whether to remain part of Ukraine or join the Russian Federation. Meanwhile, U.S. and European officials unveiled new sanctions aimed at pressuring the Russians and Ukrainians deemed responsible for the crisis. Despite the geopolitical drama, investors are optimistic about the outlook for stocks this year. The latest reading from the CNNMoney Fear & Greed index shows extreme greed is definitely driving the markets. Referendum is a PEACEFUL way to get consensus from citizen IF its what they wants. NO forcing - Citizen's willingness. Majority wins. Its proper and non violent way to move forward. This kind of\d if action is in line with International LAW. BY Military force is NOT constitutional. Don't try to make a case out of it. :)

Singapore index up for 3rd day straight led by palm oil stocks: Reuters Singapore stocks were headed for their third session of gains on Thursday, led by palm oil companies as a strong rise in the edible oil boosted their shares. The benchmark Straits Times index was up 0.3 percent to 3,126.95 points as of 0350 GMT. ... The broader Asian market rose on diplomatic efforts made to moderate the crisis over Ukraine. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was up 0.3 percent. Golden Agri-Resources Ltd, which is most sensitive to palm oil prices among its peers due to its large free float, rose as much as 1.7 percent to a 3-1/2-month high of S$0.60. Wilmar International Ltd jumped 1.7 percent to a three-month high of S$3.55. Malaysian palm oil futures hit a 17-month high on Wednesday as dry weather is expected to threaten production in Southeast Asia. Strong demand for blending from Indonesia's biofuel sector is expected to further boost prices, leading analyst Dorab Mistry said. CORPORATE NEWS Ezra: Secures over US$125m of projects. Ezra Holdings has
secured subsea construction and offshore support contracts and options in the Asia
Pacific and West Africa worth more than US$125m, including over US$100m in subsea
projects secured by EMAS AMV, its subsea services division. These include a
