Some simple facts:
Sembmarine H1 2021 revenue- $844 million (Source: Sembmarine H1 results presentation)
Keppel OM' s revenue for 9m 2021- $1.2 billion (Source:keppel corp Q3 results presentation)

If you still think SMM is not worthy to buy at the current price, continue to hold on to your short positions then. Continue to pay your short financing interest.

Temasek paid rights for SIA. Can understand, since SIA survive related to Singapore Aviation industry survive. But SCM is not. We have keppel o&m which holding 6-7bil order book. Furthermore, the money pay to SCM not rescue singapore marine industry. Majority go to Norway and Europe consultant films, Jurong Brazil yards which has no order and vacant there. If those are closed or sold out, then talk about the cpf money paid on SCM is to secure Singaporean jobs. Or else, temasek should stop pumping in money to SCM, dissolve it and merge it to keppel o&m will be better choice

In market, rights issue is widely known as last source of rescue fund raising. It basically dilute shares badly to wipe out existing shareholders holdings. Like initial shareholding only 2.2bil, now is 32bil. Initial shares only left 6.8% if don't inject further fund to buy new issued shares. Why initial shareholders had no rights to say no or stop for the dilution and defend with what those scammers scam all sources of funds and money can be derived from financial statements? Because those funds cannot be touched and restricted for derivatives, loans, debts and etc. So Rights must be issued to raise fund to rescue the company to prevent whole derivatives, loans and debts collapsed and resulted winding up or force selling assets to pay debts. Those assets will be heavily discounted if force sell since assets create negative cash flow is equal to toxic assets. Assets will be worth money if it can generate positive cash flow. So, 1.5bil raised in sep 2021, 3month later only left 720mio. The previous usage of Rights was 1 month ago only which include employee salary, this week usage of Rights, 45mio used for employee payments. So the cash is burning fast. SCM also received letter of arbitrary which worth close to 100mio from single vendor only. Vendors which involved in the dispute of billion order cancellation will not be one only. Meanwhile, clients demand for payment extension for 2 years. With the speed of 3months burn off from 1.5bil to 720mio, next Rights will be coming soon. Don't twist the facts and cheat SCM has a lot of funds. They Don't have, 720mio left only, SCM is generating negative cash flow which mean burning money. Temasek may have to step in to rescue again for Rights issue at discounted price again, around 2-3 cents. Or temasek just surrender to move it to JD and dissolve it. Look at 45mio employee salary per month, will you still think SCM management doing well? Do you still think those consultants films in Norway and Europe worth to keep and pay them salary with heavy taxes without producing anything??? Again, don't twist the facts and cheat. Rights net proceeds only left 720mio. It is counting down day by day

If that is not enough, UOB Kay Hian stated on 6 Sept 2021 that SMM is estimated to have book value of $0.14

Incorrect. 1.5bil raised in sep 2021. 3 month times, spent 750mio. Without this rights, SCM will be winding up. 3month later, 750mio burnt, nothing will be changed, still cannot generate cash but burning cash.

Yup, pretty cash rich. The Borr drilling debt restructuring will bring in about $25mil next month and another $50mil in mid 2022.....and about $80-90 million in 2023 and 2024 respectively.

The recent announcement of using $100million from the 2021 rights proceed is pretty neutral and expected news. The cash ouflow seems to be slightly lower than expected given that SCM is rushing to complete the Johan Castberg hull, the 2 drillships, the Energean FPSO, Shell Vito, the Gallaf 2 platforms, Tyra well head, Farmosa Wind turbine foundations and the Ropax ferries.

Cash flow analysis
Cash balance as at 30th June- $788mil
Proceed from rights issue- +$1.5billion
Pay off short term loan- $430mil + $150mil
utilised for working capital- $100mil +$100mil
Projected Cash balance at 31 Dec 2021 = 788 + 1500 - 580 - 200 = $1.5 billion

After that, substantial cash collections from Jan to April for the above mentioned deliveries.

Thanks. The 2 main reasons for the 2nd rights issue were Transocean asking for yard financing for the 2 drillships and some short term loans coming due.

These short term loans are likely some sort of project financing loans that are supposed to be payable AFTER the projects are completed and cash are collected from the deliveries.

However, due to the covid delays, the short term loans became payable first. So the sequence is reversed, have to pay first then collect cash for deliveries.

Bro, I am very impressed with your analysis, much better than all the analysts out there. The number of them downgraded SM has gone up, but they made a huge mistake just like DBS analysts downgrading SPH REITS at 72 cents when I was buying. SM will probably prove them wrong again. It's already rock bottom. Very naive to downgrade a counter when it's already rock bottom and the industry recovery has gathered momentum.
