In ths particular Half-year, the business actually lost US$8.5m !!!! CREATIVE Technology posted a net profit of US$1.2 million for the half year ended Dec 31, 2021, rising from US$45,000 in the corresponding period a year ago, lifted by a gain arising from the disposal of a property. During the period under review, Creative saw other gains (net) of US$9.7 million, thanks to a US$10 million gain from the disposal of a property in the United States, which was partly offset by a foreign exchange loss of US$0.3 million.

Creative Technology posts higher profit for H1 FY22 on gain from disposal
CREATIVE Technology posted a net profit of US$1.2 million for the half year ended Dec 31, 2021, rising from US$45,000 in the corresponding period a year ago, lifted by a gain arising from the disposal of a property.
Sales slid 28 per cent year-on-year to US$34.1 million, hit by the global shortage of semiconductors and delays in shipping schedules.
Gross profit was 27 per cent lower at around US$11.6 million, while gross profit margin was slightly higher at 34 per cent, up from 33 per cent, on the back of a rise in freight costs and some semiconductor components.
Earnings per share worked out to US$0.02 for the 6-month period.
During the period under review, Creative saw other gains (net) of US$9.7 million, thanks to a US$10 million gain from the disposal of a property in the United States, which was partly offset by a foreign exchange loss of US$0.3 million.
No dividend was recommended for the period under review, which was the case last year as well.

Dirac' s spatial audio tech will soon be built into wireless headphones Last time we checked in with Dirac, the Swedish audio company known for &ldquo digital audio optimization,&rdquo it had developed software for improving headphone sound quality. The key element with that app is that it was designed to run on a phone or media player. Dirac has now gone a step further and integrated its spatial audio tech directly into wireless headphones. By leveraging digital signal processors (DSPs) on Bluetooth chipsets from the likes of Qualcomm, MediaTek and BES, the company is giving headphone makers the ability to bypass the playback device to insure immersive sound from stereo content.
In fact, Dirac says this is an industry first. The company explains that any digital sound optimization has typically been done on a connected phone, media player or another system. In other words, you had to download an app or use a piece of software that offered some type of audio enhancement &mdash like a preset for your model of headphones. With this new setup, immersive audio is available out of the box and all the time. There&rsquo s no need for a companion app.
This new &ldquo spatial audio solution&rdquo does two key things. First, as the name suggests, it upscales stereo content to immersive audio. Dirac compares the end result to what you might hear from a home theater setup, only this technology doesn&rsquo t require content to be specifically mixed for spatial audio. Second, the tech includes speaker optimization. Dirac has experience with room correction and calibration, and now it&rsquo s putting those systems to use in wireless headphones. The company says the result is &ldquo maximized sound quality&rdquo without a hardware upgrade. What&rsquo s more, it can be added to existing headphones via a firmware update. That goes for the spatial audio feature as well.
This will be especially useful for companies that make true wireless earbuds. Over the last two years, the buds themselves have gotten increasingly smaller as headphone makers improve comfort and fit. Of course, that means less room for components like speakers &mdash and less room for them to operate effectively. Companies may need to rely on sound enhancement tech like what Dirac has built in order to avoid sacrifices in audio performance. Plus, Dirac will offer the speaker optimization on its own without spatial audio, so headphone makers can &ldquo focus solely on maximizing headphone sound quality.&rdquo
Dirac says Klipsch and RHA are already planning to integrate the spatial audio tech in upcoming headphones. And you can bet the integration will be part of the pitch when those models are announced, whether the companies mention Dirac by name or not

In 4/2020, Christine Tan (CT) of CNBC interviewed SWH. SWH said that he is trying to get user base of 50 million in 2 years. However, 3 year after launch the sxfi, the no of download from playstore is only 50k. i.e. achieved 1/1000 of his target. China market is close to none ----------------------------------

It&rsquo s a small difference but noticeable. For purists this might be a deal-breaker. For me personally, it isn&rsquo t a big deal because the improved soundstage is much more enjoyable.
Vocal intensive music won&rsquo t be perfect, and that&rsquo s a real shame. Echo in vocal is omnipresent in all music and only goes away when you turn off the Super X-Fi effect.
So, if you&rsquo re an audiophile, you might want to save some money for a higher-end 3D amplifier like the iFi xDSD.
But if you&rsquo re a normal music enthusiast and just want to enjoy your music &ldquo in a bigger space&rdquo for an affordable price, then this is a great choice.
To each their own. A non-audiophile will love the Creative SXFI amp.
The sound signature when &ldquo off&rdquo ?
You can listen to a set of headphones without the effect turned on. In the &ldquo off&rdquo position the sound signature isn&rsquo t changed much and has a nice balance.
Therefore, it&rsquo s perfect for all genres of music.

The garbage that refuses to connect to device giving me wrong password messages then after changing it back to the same password as before now states i dont even have an account just disgusting headmapping doesn' t work either deleting this waste of garbage and super sxfi is super bad deleting my profile as well yeah no thanks

Tried to do the head mapping on a top grade Oppo but there is no shutter button in the app and no AI tobtake the pictures: nothing happens. Customer service unobtainable as none in the UK. Headset has to go back for a refund, very disappointed. Creative customer for 35 years but this made me angry.
