Nvidia is not expensive even at above USD 800, as it is on uptrend with AI and with high demands. But if a company is going to go burst anytime soon, even at 0.1 cent per share is considered expensive. LOL

There is reason to share consolidation.. but I have seen many cases dived after SC.. usually prior to SC, these companies were already facing difficulties. That' s why financial challenge is always one of the reason why company propose SC.. perhaps things might be different for Sea

Each company has its own good and valid reasons to split their shares by issuing warrants or to consolidate their shares. For issuing warrants, using DM as an example, it is issuing warrants to increase the no. of shares in the market i.e. to increase the liquidity in the market. For share consolidation, using Seatrium as an example, it is reducing the no. of shares in the market in the ratio of 20 to 1 i.e. all being equal except the no. of shares in the market will be reduced by 20 times and the price of each share will be 20 times higher. As the present share price of Seatrium is at below 10 cents, let say it goes up to 12 cents on consolidation date, so after consolidation, it will be 2.40 per share. For existing SH who continue to hold the shares before and after consolidation, the value of the shares before and after conversion will be the same. Let say you have 20 Seatrium shares at 12 cents, so your capital is 2.40, after conversion, you capital is still at 2.40 but with 1 share. If there are many funds would like to buy Seatrium with the condition that only if the share price is not at penny stock price of 10 or 20 cents, but at Blue Chip price of above 1 Dollar, would you think it would be good to carry out consolidation in order for the shares price to move up higher beyond 2.40 per share (eg quoted above) to 5.00 per share? or you would like to just let the share price staying at below 10 cent or less than 20 cents until the share price has gone up to 1.00 Dollar before the major funds can buy? which way is faster in order for the major funds to buy and good for existing SH ? |
