Having a strong engineering bench is a pre-requisite to be a tier 1 global solution provider. Keppel OM seems to have given up in this area as Keppel is not willing to invest in an entity they are planning to sell. Ongoing, Sembmarine and its subsidiaries like Sevan SSP and LMG Marin are likely to take part in more FEEDs, concept studies and design contracts which many would result in new build contracts at Sembmarine like the Napant arctic research vessel.
