 Alert Admin 		For years SGX has a small pool of retail investors (after the fall of S-chip stocks from China), thus BBs can easily manipulate a stock despite its performance. However, if crude palm oil price continues to rise and Golden Agri performs v well in FY21 and gives dividend, it just a matter of time this stock will rocket to reflect its real value. Further more BBs can also suddenly change course n pushes the stock after they accumulate enough. For truth investors we just hv to be patient n invest wisely ...

 Alert Admin 		Wow !! Palm oil future continues to break its all time high, its really time to accumulate n wait for Golden Agri price to catch up. This up coming FY21 result should be very good with good dividend also (since the company has a dividend policy of 30 percent of its underlying profit). The chart below speaks for itself.....Ukraine-Russia crisis helps to push up the price of palm oil & Energy stocks including coal.
Also India has increased demand with reduced import duty of Palm oil added to the rise!

 Alert Admin 		Palm oil stock indeed should be doing v well for the near future according to the crude palm oil price.

Malaysian palm oil futures skyrocketed to an all-time high of MYR 6,028 a tonne in the last week of February and is now up almost 30% since the beginning of 2022 amid robust demand and supply constraints. Malaysian Palm Oil Board' s estimated the country' s production in February fell 1.79% from the previous month, with exports rising faster than its output. Supporting prices further was the impact of dry weather on South American soybean production areas, while Indonesia' s restrictions on exports also exacerbated supply fears.

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 17): Malaysian crude palm oil (CPO) futures ask price topped RM6,000 a tonne for the first time on Thursday (Feb 17) at RM6,050, as the commodity&rsquo s price closed at its record high.

At 6.30pm, March 2022 CPO price closed up RM140 at its record high at RM5,970 a tonne, after the commodity was traded at between RM5,807 and RM5,970.

March 2022 CPO&rsquo s opening price was RM5,845 a tonne, while its bid price stood at RM5,340.

In a research note on Wednesday, Hong Leong Investment Bank&rsquo s (HLIB) analyst Chye Wen Fei said the research house is &ldquo overweight&rdquo on the plantation sector, citing that the CPO price will likely remain at elevated levels in the next few months with a possibility until the first half of 2022.

KUALA LUMPUR--Malaysian and Indonesian plantation stocks were lifted after crude palm oil futures hit a new record high on rising demand and tight supply.

Sime Darby Plantation Bhd. rose 5.7% and Kuala Lumpur Kepong added 2.5% in early Asian trading Tuesday, while Singapore-listed Wilmar International and Indonesia' s Astra Agro Lestari were up 3.1% and 2.7%, respectively.


The gains came after benchmark prices for palm oil on the Kuala Lumpur Derivatives Exchange rose 0.3% on Tuesday morning to a record 5,686 ringgit ($1,357) a ton, putting it 26% higher this year.

Malacca Securities said it is upbeat on the plantation sector given tighter output for the edible oil, coupled with India' s recent move to lower import taxes for the oil. CPO production is being curbed by persistent labor shortages in Malaysia and restrictions on exports from Indonesia.

Demand from India, one of the world' s largest buyers of palm oil, is expected to pick up after it cut its import tax to 5.0% from 7.5% on Sunday.

And as for my " small comment" , which I shouldn' t make in the first place, was based on coffee shops hearsay that there were " heavy" institutional buying, and they think it could be people selling to buy Golden. You can' t find it in the SGX Dara report, but there was a business times mention of it few days ago   " Outside the STI, Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust  RWOU  , Golden Agri-Resources  Golden Agri-Res: E5H +1.82%  , Suntec Reit  Suntec Reit: T82U +0.63%  , Keppel Reit  Keppel Reit: K71U +0.88%  and Sheng Siong Group  Sheng Siong: OV8 +0.66%  were recipients to the highest net institutional inflows for the 5 sessions."  

The bad thing about institutional buying, is that they will not chase the stock price to sky high, the good thing is they will not dump it so quick after buying. As for Golden, coffee shops are pretty sure they are " taking positions" for several brewings to come, one of which as I mentioned, would be the good FY results, which has been confirmed to be on 1 March. But you need not wait for then to hear any good news. You just need to find out Pt SMART results, which was supposed to be early this week, but postponed to next week. There is also belief that Golden is heavily backed to copycat Wilmar contemplating listing in India and China. The heavy buying, as opposed to trading and contra play, suggest the  brewings may be heating up

As for Wilmar, institutional funds as I learned are back on again, ahead of results on next Monday, good results and a good payout is expected, and there has been brokerages upgrade ahead of the reults. UOB KH example gives it a six dollar TP. Wilmar India stock prices hav3 been doing amazingly well. That' s all I know.
