5 cents dividend a year means HL Asia will pay out SGD37.4M. And they have cash SGD1.6B in the bank. All of us minority shareholders should attend the coming AGM and ask the management to explain their dividend policy and ask for a special dividend. They should distribute half of the cash as dividends. ROE is now only 3.9% as a result of hoarding too much cash. If they distribute half of cash as dividend, ROE will shoot up and share price will go to at least SGD6. The management and IDs should be scolded to make them wake up.

I recall that back when hong leong asia was below $1, the analysts are so conservative in their valuation.. now that it has shoot up so much, analysts keep shifting their goal posts and can still have buy calls and upgrade their target price (one even at $4+) with higher valuation.. at current eps and share price, about 20 p/e.. didn't hear them screaming tp of $4 immediately when it is trading below $1.. think analysts should be more consistent in their valuation parameters and not get heavily influenced by how share price goes when they set the tp | ||||

Final dividend of 3c per share (whole year FY2025 5c vs FY2024 4c) is really too little/ miserly considering the company has SGD1.6B cash as at 31 Dec 2025. | ||||
