Finally PO details is out. Slightly less than 30% increase in holding if just take up the full PO entitlement. With the number of new units to be issued, chances are very high to secure additional units. This is a growing reit and this is its first PO, will see how the market values the ?mother?s unit? price after halt lifted and decide how much to subscribe. | ||||

It won' t be immediate, you still can reserve your salary for this month for the rights issue Worse come to worse, you can take up a short term bank loan, usually 3.5%pa for like 6 months or 1 year (Eg. Citibank) Means you forfeit the dividends payout for maybe 1 year in return for getting the rights shares at a discounted price Or you could also ask your company for a personal loan, usually zero interest if your company is good enough to provide Or you could pay the min sum for your credit card and delay payment of full amount with no interest (ie. pay credit card bills at a later date so you have more cash now, but not recommended as credit card interest for eventual non payment could be easily more than 20%) So many different ways to do it, just think lol

I rather there is a rights issue than they do a private placement Private placement means our shareholdings will be diluted and those private investors get to buy LREIT shares at a discounted price Then the value of our shares will drop aside from being diluted Do you want that to happen?

15th Feb - Proposal to fully acquire JEM for around $2.08b 23rd Feb - Acquired a $860m sustainability-link loan The next I guess will be either a private placement (which will be sucky) or a rights issue

It' s not the weak hands selling, is the evil shorts inside.  Like yesterday, when all stocks rises, Lendlease was the top short sold with 54.9% being short vol.  They are inside for weeks liao.  I hope they lose all their money and get destroyed totally. Huat to all real investors of Lendlease Reit!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8p2r_mr1xU CEO talk about Jem acquisition. Also touch on other potential acquisitions and it seems that it is unlikely to acquire Parkway parade anytime soon. On the other hand, if the finainal and time are right, look like the reit is interested in PLQ. Having said that, it would not be anytime soon too as the reit' s market cap will already be more than double with the acquistion of JEM. Need to grow at steady pace. Mr Kelvin seems extremely positive on JEM and as a unit holder, I can' t wait to know the details of preferential offering.  |

Lendlease REIT secures $860m sustainability-linked loanLendlease Global Commercial REIT secured its first sustainability-linked loan from Citi, DBS, and OCBC. The $860m unsecured loan is the largest amongst Asia-Pacific REITs to date. Loan proceeds will fund the acquisition of Jem, an integrated office and retail development, and for general corporate and working capital purposes. The REIT follows a net-zero investment roadmap to drive true sustainability via various pathways. These include but are not limited to implementing energy efficiency initiatives to maintain top performance in green building  ratings, increasing the use of renewable energy by 2030, trialling alternative fuels and phasing out fossil fuel for backup generators on assets, developing and piloting the next generation of green leases for tenants, and educating and partnering with tenants to reduce emissions. Lendlease REIT Manager CEO Kelvin Chow said, " We are delighted to set a new industry benchmark and push for greater sustainability performance with our inaugural sustainability-linked loan, made possible with the support of our partners, Citi, DBS and OCBC. I had the same observation. The first 1/3 was sold to them by their sponsor. While Kelvin chow CEO didn' t explain why it was sold to them cheap, he did explain that obtaining the 1/3 was part of a bigger plan to acquire the entire JEM. If I rmb correctly it was to give them first rights and also put one foot in to show the other private owners they are serious (if I rmb correctly). Likely I' m paraphrasing a lot. it was in the recent lunchtime live q& a.

Incidentally, looking at the price tag for the rest of JEM (60+%), and the current asset size of LLReit, it does appear that the price paid for the first one-third of JEM looks rather cheap now.  Anyone has any views on whether they concur and why this was the case???

That' s my estimate too (with a higher chance for 1 for 2, my guess).  spot on on the HSR. overall is a good deal la, and LL is heading in the right direction. Those who can afford should subscribe to the rights.

think likely to be down first then recover. buyers will not pay high price as not a clear. win. immediately but they know long term win. so let the people who no like dilution sell first. then buy at low.   |
