As in any fire, bound to have lots of rumors... but one thing is real... there is a mysterious person, or persons buying... so much so, that ah tang has to get worry worried, probably he has to act openly soon..... as always these are coffee shops classic stories, so DYODDDDDD.....

Heard the firemen simply fed up of fighting the fire...as they left, can hear the uncles laughing and shouting, " you can fight fire, but you cannot siam the smoke....smokey means got smokey la" now steady at $0.525... should be able to break 52 weeks high again, provided no nuclear war of course please DYODDDDDD...... |

Am at the Alexandra Food Centre now for lunch...still can see smoke coming out from that Alexandra Hotel. Overheard the crystal dumplings uncle shouting No 0.80c No Sell! don' t know if he was referring to his crystal dumpling, which used to cost only 0.50,or if he was referring to something else... |

Was at Alexandra lunch time... saw some firemen leaving, I asked the uncles how come still got smoke still coming out from the building. They explained, still hot embers smoking Mah..... I asked if I can go there to find out what happening.... They said cannot, police cordon off area, so I guess have to wait for the news.... yesterday, some balls had become marbles, when the firemen was trying to put out the fire....

Congrats, not envious, your good fortune  .I used to own quite a bit of CES, sold all at $1+. Stop investing due to change of ownership from the Lim family to the China couple. At that time, very high debt, so I was cautious. Now CES seems to be doing well, is it too late to enter ? Not sure, got to do some research.

Double smashing wows this morning. Smashed thru 0.50 barrier, and smashing 52 week high. But best is that at this price it is trading at only half nav.... got to go get some beer now and watch.... see u later. Cheers. |

No la... tampok only,la,because I follow my coffee shops uncles advice, always don' t be too greedy... it was 0.43 the whole first week in June...then when one day I was at a Alexandra coffee shop and I saw some smoke coming from some hotel,building...so I asked an uncle : what happen? He said, there' s a fire behind the hotel building..... I said impossible la, the buildings are so new. And he said," no smoke without fire" ... then the fire go down abit. Even last Monday it was only 0.435, with abit done at 0.44. But you can see the smoke become thicker and thicker, when the whole Sgx was on fire, but this one slowly slowly keep on climbing, like no hui the fire... Today close at magnificent 0.495. I also don' t know what causes the thick smoke...... just watching with popcorns for the moment.... |

Closed up,again today.... not suggesting anything except posting some fun facts.. At today' s price, stock is trading less than half of nav, Low debt, cash rich, about $500 million in bank, more than enough to ownself buy ownself. Yield about 4.5%.

Chip Eng Seng secures $173 mil contract by HDB
Chip Eng Seng&rsquo s wholly-owned subsidiary CES Engineering & Construction has been awarded a $173.5 million building works contract by the Housing and Development Board.
The contract relates to building works to be undertaken at Hougang Neighborhood 2 Contract 11, which also includes a community club and a park.
The construction period, which spans 48 months, is expected to commence end-June.
The contract is not expected to have any material impact on the net tangible assets and earnings per share of the company for the current FY ending December 31.
