GLP CHINA TO ISSUE RMB1.5 BILLION (US$224 MILLION) OF PANDA BONDS GLP China to issue RMB1.5 billion (US$224 million) of RMB-denominated bonds (&ldquo panda bonds&rdquo ) on Shanghai Stock Exchange GLP is the first global logistics real estate company to issue panda bonds The bonds were more than 3 times oversubscribed Issuance in line with GLP&rsquo s policy of using natural hedge to optimize capital structure Shanghai, 11 July 2016 &ndash GLP, the leading global provider of modern logistics facilities, will issue RMB1.5 billion (US$224 million 1,2 ) of RMB-denominated bonds (&ldquo panda bonds&rdquo ) on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (&ldquo SSE&rdquo ) 3 . The issuance comprises three-year tenor bonds priced at 3.12% per annum and five-year tenor bonds priced at 3.58% per annum. Proceeds will be used for the repayment of existing debt and to fund business growth in China. GLP closing price 1.90, market cap 8.90B Vibrant closing price 0.42, market cap 232M. At 42 cents is still cheap, if you divide by 5, it is around 8.04 cents the previous price before the 5 to 1 consolidation. But the propose dividend is lower this time round as they are conserving cash and pay down the debts.

Agree. I was presenting data to my boss a while ago. Usually we use contracted rate and did not benchmark against oils price. Last 12 months, oil price dropped but the contracted price remain the same... Service providers squeeze their sub contractor due to poor market condition, they claim lack of foreign manpower resulted in their inability to drop price. Just imagine the extra margin that they will earn??just take a quick look at the financial report on these service providers..... Next 6-12 months will be even better..... | ||

Unlikely to privatise. Co is still talking to some banks in China on underwriting Panda Bond to raise money (Pl refer to Co' s recent announcement in SGX website). Suspect got some plans in China. Again my 2 cts.......... DYDD |
