Will not be surprised if one of this days, CEWL decides to follow the footstep of another water counter Citic, which made an similar exit offer from the trading price of 33ct to 55cts. CEWL is now also trading ard 33c, whereas Citic is at 54c. Looks quite possible, as the ' parent' coy already owns 75% of the share. Just wishing lah.

The shortists syndies are likely scavengers who go for small meat of 1-3 bids, could be those remisers and their backroom teams whose earnings are badly affected by the slowdown in sgx market. They are well connected. So no choice, small meat also can lah. They also have the upper hand, knowing how their clients are trading. Clients on contra trading, hard to beat these scavengers lah. |

Those who are looking for short term capital appreciation will be disappointed with this counter. The BBs are pretty brutal with this stock. Everytime somebody buy large, they will quickly sold a little afterwards to press down the stock, like that SP how to go up? But for cashflow guys like me, those BBs are like giving me strike lottery every month. Limpeh sibeh like lah =) | ||

Your wish is granted. Looks like shorties forcing price down for trapped contra to cut loss. A favorite counter for shortist brokers to make easy money. So not for contra play,imo. At nav of 52cts, expected annual div of at least 1.3ct, making good profits qtr after qtr, and now selling at 33ct, counter has potential to increase in price and div, for those who has deep pockets, just opinion.  Anyway, Q3 result shd be out on 14th.

Yeah, fri effect, so don' t expect much movement. Next week probably got some lah, as Q3 result coming, as ext: " The board of directors (the &ldquo Board&rdquo ) of China Everbright Water Limited (the &ldquo Company&rdquo ) announces that a meeting of the Board will be held on Thursday, 14 November 2019 for the purpose of, among other matters, approving the unaudited financial results of the Company and its subsidiaries for the third quarter and nine months ended 30 September 2019 and its publication and considering the payment of a dividend (if any)." Never give div in Q3 b4, but if this time got, think it should shoot to up. They actually can afford as their trailing eps is about 4.5cps. Of late, they have been more generous, increasing their div, last interim was 0.65cps. Next interim, ie Q4 can expect at least 0.65c or more, just opinion.
