Keeps going higher. Causing Sampan to to sink even further at 2.47: 2.48. As usual all the good folks probably have no more or few bullets to buy. Hopefully it will find support at 2.45, which was the placement price. Smart money bought into placement at 2.45. May support it. To me chart shows it will reach 2.45. Happy to hear otherwise from the chartists. Otherwise, worse case scenario is 2.40. Some pain, but can tahan as long as can hold. Singtel also looks like will hit 4.40. Just a matter of time. How I wish the Lunatic comes to his senses. Most of this is his madness. if only he makes a deal with Iran which is palatable for them. Perhaps he should give them some aid package. Disguised compensation in exchange for the enriched uranium. Then, they will hug each other. No more sanctions. Allowed to sell oil in the market. One Big Beautiful Deal. Pun intended. And all will be well. Oil will be back to $60-$70 oer barrel. Markets will cheer. Will kiss Trump. Call him a hero. De man. And he will give us his stupid fake smile. Cause he has probably made more than any manipulator in history. And then, Soon, we will have a movie based on these events. Of course, labelled fiction. To avoid a defamation suit. On Netflix. At 7.34 : 7.35 now after reaching Day High at 8.36. That' s a pullback of $1.02 cts. OUCH !!! If you didnt sell. The shit has hit the fan? Just that people dunno yet or in denial or hopeful for the price to U-Turn back up to $8.36 and then higher? Dunno. Its fun (and safe) to just watch the horror movie from the sidelines.

Jerome Powell will step down as Chairman after his term ends but he will remain on the board as governor. Trump said " Nobody wants him" referring to Powell. Now I understand why there was an earlier report last 2 weeks where Trump was reported to have said if Powell doesnt leave after his term as Fed Chair ends, Trump will fire him. I was wondering...if his term ends, ofcoz he must and he will leave. Why need to fire him ? So now it makes sense. When his term as Fed Chair ends, he is still on the board as governor. Trump wants him to resign from that position or Trump will fire him. The law allows the president to remove a governor only " for cause" . This is seen largely as misconduct or incompetence or neglect of duty. Trump is arguing that it includes differences in policy opinions. Lisa Cook, a governor went to court to block Trump from firing her. The case is now before the US Supreme Court. |

Markets have forgotten about Iran War already. It is no longer the most important topic on CNA News. When the war started, for 4 weeks running, updates on this war was the 1st piece of news they reported. Now this war has been relegated to No. 3 or 4 on the list. Oil prices are back up. Brent at $111. WTI at $109. But market dont care. Markets' focus has shifted back to fundamentals. We wont see a New Low. Unless we get a recession. |

So if you think this madness will continue on Monday, buy at today' s closing price. FOMC Meeting yesterday and today is a non-event. It is Jerome Powell' s last meeting as Fed Chair. And everyone already knows the Fed is going to leave interest rate unchanged. That' s why its a non-event. I supposed half the time during the meeting, Powell must have said to himself...." Why the F should I care ? All this Boh Wa Eh Tai Chi leow" . And during deliberations, any reference to the future as in we are going to do this if we see this and we are going to do that if we see that has absolutely no meaning for Powell. Its like a man who has 3 months more to live...he cant be talking about long term investment or building up a dividend portfolio or talking about next time I want to visit this country or next time I want to go to this place to try something there etc etc...all the " next time" talk will be meaningless. But if Powell counts his blessings, he had 2 terms. Trump appointed Powell during Trump' s 1st presidency. Biden did not replace Powell. He reappointed Powell. So Powell got to serve 2 terms. |

no, price low is not because no share buyback
... the market is generally weak. Look at Keppel, DBS, STEng, all floundering. Singtel no exception .. a correction of 10 percent is healthy.. most counters that move up over a long term correct themselves and then move up.

4 months ago when AEM was languishing at 1.70, no anal - yst had the bolas to call for $10. Now all saying $10. Which will happen. So, the pied piper is leading the way and taking all the town' s children down the cliff. Never to be seen again. Which did happen. |

I think they cannot ask you to pay a fuel surcharge after the ticket is sold. But I guess they always have the right to cancel a flight and refund you the original ticket price. This is something which an airline will do under very extenuating circumstances - like if proceeding with the flight will cause the airline to lose LOTS of money. Then worth the commercial falloff to cancel the whole flight to avoid such a huge loss. If higher cost of fuel means the airline makes less or breakeven or maybe lose a bit, then I think they will value their reputation more and still proceed with the flight. I read a story where a passenger was the only passenger in one flight. Dunno how that can ever happen but it happened. So when that passenger boarded the plane, the Captain made an announcement over the public address system and said " Welcome on board, Mr So and So" and addressed the passenger by name. Imagine a long haul flight where you are the only passenger and you get all the attention and have as much food and drinks as you want. The best part is no need to queue for toilet when you need it and lots of overhead compartment for your luggage bag. But becoz you are the only passenger, the aircon which is designed to keep 300 to 400 people cool will be too cold for you. But you will be able to lift the armrest of 3 seats side by side and convert 4 seats into a bed.

 This clearly is not sustainable and will one day come to an end. When that day comes, that' s the day the shit hits the fan. And too bad for those who bought on that day and hesitate to throw back. Also too bad for those who still have some profits but becoz they were in denial that its all over and they didnt throw back, whatever was left of their paper profts were snatched back by the market and became a lump of shit. If one lump of shit you dont throw away it will very quickly become one pile of shit. This is a case of WHEN, not IF. We wait for the shit to hit the fan.  |

FLCT has come down 96.5: 97. Sampan at 2.50 : 2.51 Singtel saw a low of 4.47. Market is in sell down mode. May take a while I think for the selling to be a done. 3/4 weeks perhaps. So, it is true - sell in May and go away? I am not selling. But will go away. in May. Praying that Scoot does not cancel my flight or impose fuel surcharge Not sure if they are allowed to do that once tickets are bought. Who reads the fine print. Not even lawyers. Only AI. |
