Tawana Resources to unveil new backer, secures life on ASX Lithium producer Tawana Resources has secured a $40 million funding lifeline to secure its long-term future on the Australian Securities Exchange. Street Talk understands Tawana will announce as early as Wednesday that it has agreed a $40 million debt funding package with an Australian institutional investor, believed to be Tribeca Investment Partners. The funding is expected to mean Tawana can pass a going concern test, as required by ASX listing rules, and that it can continue to trade on the exchange following its merger with Singapore' s Alliance Mineral Assets Ltd. The $40 million agreement caps a frantic week for Tawana. The company announced this time last week that it could not meet the so-called " Emphasis of Matter Requirement" and the merged entity was unlikely to be able to trade on the ASX-boards. Tawana made a last ditch effort to secure the necessary funds on Thursday, and nutted out the deal with Tribeca across the weekend. It is expected to be back trading on Wednesday. It' s understood the debt facility was priced at about 10 per cent or slightly higher, and will not include warrants. That means Tawana should be able to say it is cheaper funding than signed by fellow listed junior Altura earlier this month, which stitched up a deal at 15 per cent. The merger will be voted on by Australian shareholders in October and is expected to close in early November. The pure play lithium producer will become the largest mining company in Singapore. The deal was pitched to shareholders as a chance to create a pure-play lithium company with a proforma $425 million market capitalisation. That means it should be big enough to get on the radars of mid cap institutional investors, which would otherwise be hard for Tawana to capture. |

New Tawana Resources NL (Company) refers to the Company?s voluntary suspension on 24 September 2018 and in accordance with Listing Rule 17.2, requests that the securities of the Company remain suspended from trading pending the release of an announcement by the Company in relation to the finalisation of the Company?s proposed debt funding package. The Company requests that the voluntary suspension remain in place until the Company makes an announcement to the market, which it expects to make no later than Thursday, 27 September 2018. The Company is not aware of any reason why the voluntary suspension should not be granted, nor is it aware of any other information necessary to inform the market about the voluntary suspension. @@@@@ ok my bad its till tmr @@@@@

Yeah, doesn' t look good. Price has been falling since Jan from 45 to 26.5 now. May continue to fall further when proposed debt package revealed. Remember also there was a claim by ex ceo and wife sometime ago for a huge amount of shares. Wonder if this had been legally settled. So much hope in EV and lithium has not push up price, but internal problems have, but push down.
