Even the naysayers now reluctantly conceded defeat by changing the theme to 7.9 cents by March in the other chat, not this Friday. They will be even more disappointed by then. Those who can sniff out such counters are the one who are handsomely rewarded. As expected, trading between 8.3/ 8.4 cents.  So, now we know that the 2million shares bought back recently by SCM is to pay the directors' fees. The announcement of using S$100million from the 2021 rights proceed is a neutral to slightly positive news. The cash ouflow seems to be slightly lower than expected given that SCM is rushing to complete the 2 drillships and Energean the FPSO. Cash flow analysis Cash balance as at 30th June- $788mil Proceed from rights issue- +$1.5billion Pay off short term loan- $430mil utilised for working capital- $100mil Assuming no delivery til end of the year, another $50mil cash outflow in Dec Projected Cash balance at 31 Dec 2021 = 788 + 1500 - 430 - 100 - 50 = $1.7 billion Cheers to all SCM supporters.
