Yangzijiang Financial Holding has commenced its share buyback, just a day after it was given the mandate by shareholders to do so.
 
In an SGX filing on June 9, the company said it has bought one million shares at 51 cents each.
 
On June 8, after shareholders gave the nod at an EGM, the company announced it has allocated $200 million to buy back shares.

 Alert Admin 		We are investors and traders. Our objective is to try or hope buying at the lowest or near the lowest price so as to maximize our profits. Our thinking and the thinking of YFH mgt are not along the same line. The mgt executing the SBB do NOT trade and do not have a kpi to buy "cheap" or at the lowest possible price to make profit. The primary objective of the SBB is to boost share price so as to enhance shareholder returns. As to why YFH only sluggishly bought 1mil shares when the coy share pricevwas under heavy shelling and hammered down 3%, I would believe Toe is new to managing this SBB execution. This is the first Toe is running a listco as CEO and this is the first time he is executing this SBB even though he is a very seasoned and experienced fund manager. YFH has a whopping $200mil ammo bank so let's see how much better he could deploy the fund to buy back up all the way to 0.80. He cannot continue to buy in this insignificant manner in face of the selling pressure. The $200mil SBB must project an intimidating yet credible threat to the short side BBs and mean business.

ya agreed. if buy all the way up then let the shortist short down again it is wasting ammo. 
buy bit by bit and waste the shortist funding while buying back the shares at great price is a sound strategy.
In short the management let shortist spend their funds to bring down the shares at a good price then buy and hope the shortist will short down the share again and repeat this.

At least they are defending the shares. no need worry that it will drop too low so its good for us investors hehe. hopefully at some point they will start buying all the way up after they accumulate enough shares lol

first day bb is a good job to start small small. let the bear push down then buy cheap cheap better.
why waste  the money for bear to profit.  boss should shot together then reverse to let the market money fight itself out first then do bb at lower price.
