Note that they also haven' t done a share buy back in a while. Note if u look at their price chart, everytime share buyback got price spikes which they havent done in a while. With the Japan expansion plans shelved and sharebuyback mandate just approved in the AGM and with the current cheap value share price on offer. Hanwell will likely just suck up the leftover shares for cheap. NBV per share is about $2bucks plus, insider will take this opportunity to snap them up at 20c/share. Cheers, Ochi |

My sense is that, Hanwell is cash rich, doing well in the essentials business but their share prices are in the territory of an all time low. In the last AGM, they also announced share buyback, im sure they will take this opportunity to buy back more shares and probably at some point delist as the interest rates to borrow are so cheap now anyway. So ur looking at a real time share value at 21c- 23c selling price per share at coy' s buyback prices. Insiders will take this opportunity to buy back more shares at such a cheap price for such a cash rich biz. Hang tight and be rewarded. |

This old horse should just delist and return the money back to shareholders. I can' t believe that even during times like this, share price remains stagnant, while the share prices of those supermarts that order provisions from this company are flying. The management had been helmed by those conservative old timers for a long time since PSC. It is about time to elect more capable managment team to move the shares if want to remain listed. | ||

Yeah it seems so. Share price likely to head up due to nature of business. Furthermore they hedged their supply shopfront via online partners. Also they just announced another round of share buybacks today. So expect the share price to have high upside from todays prices. |

Anyone thinks that this stock will be played up in this crisis?
Since panic buying and stock piling seems like it?s spreading around the world due to the ongoing impact of covid 19? Wonder if this will incentivise the BBs to play the game here. Hanwell is in the business of stable consumer items like royal umbrella rice, fortune foodstuffs, beautex papers etc. Would they push it ? Anyone care to advise or comment ? |

ShengSiong up, this stock should follow? Some more with very low PE.

Last year, Hanwell paid 1 cent per share dividend. It is a well established Coy in the packaging industry. Hanwell also owned 60% of Tat Seng Packaging which is listed in SGX, Tat Seng is also a highly profitable Coy and also flush with plenty of Cash just like Hanwell. I thought Hanwell is an extremely attractive attractive target for M& A. Popiah King is in Hanwell, so any offeror will have to fight it out with him to take control of Hanwell. Maybe OHL??? I am sure you will get 1 cent dividend at te hvery least. Enjoy!

A company that is likely to distribute roughly half of its earnings as dividends means that the company is well established. So, for that 10 million profit so far, can we get one cent a share for next year dividend payout?
