He was accompanied by His Excellency Kakhramon Shakirov, Uzbekistan Ambassador to Singapore, General Director of Foreign Direct Investment of Uzbekistan, Mr Otabek Nazirov and Director of Department of the MIVT, Mr Oybek Khamraev. We had a constructive discussion on possible collaboration during the visit and we look forward to working with the Uzbekistan in the near future. Last week Oceanus had the honour of hosting her Excellency former Oman Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Investment Promotion, Asila bint Salim AI Samsamiyah on my invitation to Singapore before she embark on her new role. According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the purpose of the negotiations was to work out the issue of creating an Uzbek-Singapore trading house. However, if you study the 1H2022 financials, you will realise their -  COGS increased by 30m vs 1H2021 (my guess is due to the war which drives up the costs) - Other OPEX increased by 2.4m for expansion and hiring - Finance costs increased by 1.5m (unknown) - Net Loss is 818k vs 1H2021 5m profit  Assuming COGS can bring down 5m or more + no more 2.4m Other OPEX, it' s a 7.4m savings which in turn will become profit of 6.5m. Nevertheless, just an assumption. DYODD.  If China eases their covid measures and reopen since they are ramping up vaccination rate, then ho seh liao. Will be on it' s way to regain it' s prime price of $0.50.    But don' t know how many donkey years it will take though.
