The moves made by Geo, ie buying Golden Eagle, investing in coal logistic infrastructure. investing in electric motorcycle manucfaturing appear to be good, if reports are accurate. But this is for the longer term, it will 1-3 years for results to manifest. I do not mind waiting 1-3 years to realise my investment. But, what I fear most is whether doing this is with intention to increase shareholders' value or are minority shareholders being set up for someone to grab all later? Geo' s share price has been suppressed for some time. Who is doing it? Is it BBs/shortists or is it the big boss and his kakis? |

with all these annoucements.. i will be willing to invest more into GEO.. as the assets are extremely valuable. venturing into the EV market is a good move too. lets wait and see if it can do and golden energy within a few years.. | ||||

Let me give some context on motorcycles in Indonesia, at least for Jakarta i have seen.
Motorcyclists are normally hand to mouth workers. Motorcycles are cheap or affordable
mode of transport. And you can buy petrol in bottle form at the roadside. This is
for the motorcyclist. Not sure if the country workers' pay and environment is ready for electric
motorcycles.

Hopefully, Geo would receive a share price boost by a likely coal price increase in the coming winter months. Time for one or two brokerage houses e.g. KGI or Maybank to provide good valuation report for Geo. Looking forward to another " glorious" exit of another coal stock from SGX next year???

In 2022, the number of motorcycles in circulation in Indonesia reached 125 million. The country has one of the largest motorcycle fleets in the world. As of 2020, there were over 65 million registered motorcycles in Vietnam, equaling around two-thirds of the population. Best if Geo can do something with lithium. The future is one step reach heaven |

Yesterday I added another 25,000 shares at 21.5. I strongly feel that at this price, it can only go up instead of going down lower. With this EV investment and Golden Eagle acquisition, Geo has a chance to shoot up especially these new investments have improved the profits which we are expecting

Geo Energy secures option to become major shareholder of EV player Charged Asia
INDONESIAN coal producer Geo Energy Resources has entered into a US$4 million loan agreement with Singapore-headquartered electric vehicle (EV) startup Charged Asia, through its newly incorporated subsidiary, Geo Electric.
The transaction carries the conditional right to convert the outstanding amounts with all accrued interest under the loan into ordinary shares of the electric motorcycle manufacturer.
The deal also has an option to enter into further agreements with Charged Asia to increase its capital investment for up to an additional US$36 million, to become the majority shareholder.
Such a move is aligned with the group&rsquo s strategy to diversify its portfolio by investing in sustainable businesses, the group said in a bourse filing announcing this on Friday (Aug 25).
Pointing out that Charged Asia has developed three motorcycle models and delivered more than 1,000 motorcycles in Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam, it noted that the startup has &ldquo significant potential&rdquo to scale its presence in the EV industry.
Moreover, Charged Asia is backed by Australia-listed new energy e-mobility solution provider Vmoto, as well as Exeo Global corporate venture arm DeClout Ventures. Exeo Global facilitates the operational and strategic management of overseas subsidiaries for Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime listed Exeo Group in Japan, it noted.
Geo Energy&rsquo s US$4 million loan to Charged Asia carries an interest of 12 per cent per annum, for a period of 24 months or until conversion, whichever is earlier.
Giving greater context to the group&rsquo s capital investment, Geo Energy executive chairman and chief executive officer Charles Antonny Melati said the group wants to &ldquo play our part to improve the environment&rdquo in Indonesia, knowing that pollution is a growing concern there.
Noting that Indonesia&rsquo s capital Jakarta topped the list as the world&rsquo s most polluted city and registers unhealthy air pollution levels nearly every day, he said the group thus proactively explored business opportunities to invest in renewable energy. This was an outcome.
&ldquo To ensure successful execution, the group will collaborate closely with Charged Asia to grow its business toward becoming a key player in the EV industry within the Asia-Pacific region,&rdquo he added.

The question is wtf he did with the 40m shares transferred to his family? Who knows the roadblock put at 0.22 is by himself for lowball takeover later. Everyday cannot go up cos some people put big shortsell roadblock there. Unexplained.

Charles Melati chairman and ceo can make a lot of money for geo, but cannot do anyting for shhdrs. He no match vs shorties. even with such super good news, price struggling to stay at 21.5/22.0. maybe he should support by buying for himself or family, and activate sbb freguently.

Geo Energy said that its recent USD154.1m acquisition of 58.7% stake of Indonesia-listed coal miner Golden Eagle Energy is value accretive. This comes as the mining concession, located in the South Sumatra province of Indonesia, was determined to have a coal resource of 388m tonnes, and coal reserves of 275m tonnes as at end-May.
