Creative launches Super X-Fi products in ChinaCREATIVE  Technology will be launching its range of Super X-Fi products in China online on Friday via live-streaming, it said on Thursday.  Super X-Fi is a technology that Creative has put into its range of products such as headphones and gaming headsets, which promise the experience of a high-end multi-speaker system, making users feel like they are at the venue of a concert or in the environment of a game.    Chief executive Sim Wong Hoo said: " Under the current unforeseen circumstances, and despite facing all the restrictions, we have managed to put up this innovative remote online launch for China. I am using the current rebound in price to progressively reduce my positions and EXIT the stock. I have a CHANGE of view on Creative from bullish to bearish. Basically, I am utterly disappointed with the management's lack of ability in: design and sales&marketing. After so many years, their product designs are still very old fashion and "ah pek". Not even up to Xiaomi standard. Despite having a promising products (Super X-fi) for almost 2 years now, their sales&marketing efforts have fallen flat. They had fanned optimism with OEM partnership plans. But they had only signed up laptop maker Clevo as an OEM. I have been following Clevo news. For the last 1 year, I have never seen Clevo launch any new laptop with the "Super Xifi inside" specification. That's bad! During the AGM last year, management indicated they faced resistance from potential OEM partners. Thus, Creative has more or less abandoned the OEM partnership plans. It is back to selling its own products, SLOWLY! The management has also been very closed up. Attempts by institutional investors to meet management have been ignored. Even though Creative trades at cash level (cash per share about S$2.00), it is also burning cash at about S$40m per year. The company is spending and spending alot on R&D, but does not generate enough revenue because their product designs and sales&marketing are inferior. This does not work for a company whose products are global. They are not able to compete with the whole range of global brands from Logitech to Xiaomi to Apple. I have lost faith in Sim Wong Hoo and the company. I am selling out at $2.10-$2.20 and redeploy the funds to other more promising stocks.
