x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	No choice, they can?t be cheaper than grab/uber. The $5 charge at airport already loose out Liao. The only thing is (Kould lart tham Poh) work hard on their service. Even reach destination also help customers to unload luggage or open door. And don' t forget it is the government who allowed Grab/Uber to come in to compete with CDG, the purpose I think is to address the compliants made by passengers and also to a certain extend to break the monopoly position (although CDG is not really a monolpoly, there are other taxi companies around) of CDG taxi business. So why should the government buy over CDG taxi business when it is actually the very governentt who allowed Grab/Uber to come in to weaken CDG taxi business? The way I see the whole issue is CDG must really learn and prove itself to be viable and relevant to today' s encomoy. I believe it can pull through this toughest challenge it faced in the past 4 decades of its existence and eventually emerges stronger. Now I do not even use the sharing service anymore. )  I have sat in taxi/PHV that provided sweets and magazine, and have friendly Drivers that offer great conversation/entertainment. But also I have personally been scolded before on a particular ride in grab, where the driver scolded me for sipping my cup of bubble tea during the ride. It is not as though I am going to dirty his car. And he could have told me politely instead of raising his voice. After a Long day at work, I certainly would not mind paying more to have a good ride back home.   Sorry for ranting, but I just wonder why they cannot all come up with an app that allows riders to keep a list of our favourite Drivers, or at least a filter that will enable us to pick only five star Drivers. I certainly would be loyal to a company that provides great consistent service, much like SIA! Do you guys think that one day, taxi/PHV will improve on their service and safety standards?

Autonomous lvl 4 taxi service by Google' s Waymo, already being tested at scale, is slated to go commercial next year. Imagine, every taxi you get to save the salary of the taxi driver x 2 shift (autonomous no need to take breaks). CDG's profit is not exorbitantly high and Uber/Grab is losing money. Taxi fares in Singapore is one of the lowest in the first world country and the car price in Singapore is the highest in the first world country. It is very clear.
