Frankly, this share was pushed all the way down to 20 cents recently, which was crazy for the properties held. Imagine they have 2 CBD commercial buildings, one Freehold one in Bukit Timah, and Freehold Hyatt hotels in Melbourne and Perth, even if nothing else. Freehold landbank in Novena. And that is worth 20 cents? | ||||

Do read the Full DBS Report. The thing that impressed me about the DBS Report, was the depth and extent of information they put in. I have followed many details of TS over the years - and this report captures all the key strengths, and a lot more that I did not know - eg about the importance and significance of the GulTech operations in China. What was missing - the value add from the Singapore commercial properties, ie Robinson Point, Robinson 18 and the Bukit Timah retail commercial development, Hainan Island - and the piece that always puzzles me about the massive piece of land in Fuzhou that I believe they bought from Habitat at least 10 years back, that they are doing nothing with. The relationship with related company Habitat is a strange one - somethings beneficial sometimes not really. Habitat is like almost a vehicle that goes around acquiring stuff then reselling to TS. But, often at good prices, but sometimes not so. I also disagree with the sum of the parts value of SGD38 cents, as they attributed some strage 65percent conglomerate discount, which I thought funny since if you strip out and sell everything - there is no more conglomerate. Usually, RNAV is higher than NAV, not lower. Also - I liked that the NAV/Book is projected to hit 99cents in the next 2 years. And DBS called it " substantially undervalued" and stuck out its neck for a BUY call.

Sure, thanks understand. I have made multi-rounds of profits on this, buying when low and then selling when I need to cash out to buy private properties etc. Has always been quite reliable in anticipating the people who push it up and push it down. Things like this DBS Report, are the things that you cannot anticipate. Changes the dynamics considerably.

Goldfinger: If there is any consolation, the top 3 shareholders of this counter is Koh Wee Meng who owns Fragrance Hotel and his average price is at 0.465 bought back in 2014. |

I have like 900 lots, bought from 5 cents to 30+ cents. This is a long term holding. Bought again recently, when it crashed. Waiting for a takeover at a FAIR price. Currently still only about 30 percent of NAV. Which is ridiculous. | ||||

Maybe the report was for long-term holders to cash out? I looked through my records, I had TS shares in early 2018 bought at a whopping 45c. Then cut loss end-2018 at 34c.  Never looked back since.
