Result released recently shows a drop in profit but give a 6 cents div. that's why the share price was not punished so badly as like HLA today.

hl asia nav $1.90 , turnaround in profits. hl finance nav around $3.80 stable profits and dividends..
look at auric pacific .. turnaround and privatised above NAV . Spore mkt has been v slow in identifying undervalued counters , not to mentioned grossly undervalued in very well known long standing companies. Both are trading at only about 60% of their NAV Finance companies being able to be acquired by foreign co means its license r more valuable than before . Trading at below NAV is therefore ridiculous esp its a profitable finance institution. |

after telco sector, the banking sector is going to have more players too. for exampe, HL finance or Singapura fin acquired by foreign banks then there will be more competitors. is it (may be ) that is part of the reason why DBS dropped so much.? |
