Shipping: Maersk Line seeks to raise Asia-Europe freight rate from 1 July. Maersk Line, the world' s largest container shipping company, told its clients on Tuesday it will set the freight rate from Far East Asia to Europe at US$1,450 per 20-foot container (TEU) as of 1 July. Earlier this month, data from the Shanghai Containerized Freight Index showed rates for transporting containers from ports in Asia to Northern Europe had risen to US$761 per TEU. Cma form jv with psa to joinly operate sg port terminal. Lot of insider trade off on nol sellout, this gona piss those cpf investors even more. Temasek should really do damage control since in first place they the one who demand cma to support sg export market. CMA hand tied cannot up offer due to condition attached to deal, th should compensate all investors with cash incentive upon offer acceptance, let the pressure pile up. |

I think i will play by ear as it approachs the 4th July dateline . If CMA has consolidate close to 87% of the requirement , i will also probably sign the blue letter. |

Shipping: Port of Singapore container volume increases in May. Total container throughput at the Port of Singapore rose for the first time since the start of 2016 in May against the corresponding period in 2015.
