Or these idiots were just happily shorting and never cover? If the later case, likely there will be a panic buy in when the div is declared, cause these idiots who haven' t covered will have to pay the div.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Yes, say whatever u want but with something to support u. Only then, people will give it a thought. To be fair, the figures are there for all to see. CLCT dividends over the years, indeed, didn' t correspond with the numerous acquisitions. Manager is rewarded for every acquisition. By right they should be responsible and ensure asset acquired is accretive. Not keep buying to grow the company but at the expand of shareholders. That is to say property has to be bought at the right price. In the case of CLCT, the many acquisitions didn' t fully reflected on dividend growth. Their purchases all from sponsor, Capitaland. Will Capitaland sell cheap to CLCT? Hence, the need to scrutinize whether purchase is at fair value become very important. That' s why over the years, I didn' t add to my holding on my own but the increase was rather because of the rights issues. Having said, up till now, CLCT is still a good company that gives out fairly good yield. Especially at current super low price. I did take the opportunity to add recently. I' m hoping the recent purchases will be really good in boosting up future dividends.

Just as warren buffett said  " Be fearful when others are greedy and be greedy when others are fearful" Only fools sell when other fools sell, just as an SAF saying goes..." No sell no sell, one sell 2 3 4 sell" .

I actually went in at matching time at $1.17, and like one bro said, some idiots just throw to me at $1.16. Expect to huat by CNY next year. Even if price don' t move higher to what I want, expect to get between 8 to 7% yields. This is one of the top paying REITs ah..... also bought Ascendas and MCT during matching period at the close.
