Sembcorp Marine Ltd (the ?Company?) refers to the announcement it made on 24 March 2023, and would like to update that it has clarified with the Comptroller General of the Union (?CGU?) that the preliminary administrative proceedings for investigations commenced by CGU against its Brazilian subsidiary Estaleiro Jurong Aracruz Ltda. (?EJA?). The proceedings relate generally to past conduct investigated by the Brazilian authorities in connection with Operation Car Wash, of which the Company has previously made announcements, the latest being the Circular to shareholders dated 31 January 2023. Further, the CGU has not brought any civil or administrative charges against the Company or its subsidiaries. The Company will continue to cooperate and work with the Brazilian authorities
