From my understanding, The Place Hldg Ltd (listed in Spore) is connected to the larger, The Place Investment Grp in China. Most probably a subsidiary. Both companies have the same chairman. Fyi.

Also at the forum, Hu Heping, the minister of culture and tourism, stressed the importance of developing mass and smart tourism, promoting the integrated development of culture and tourism, as well as strengthening market regulation, among other things. |

Concur that Both properties in Singapore are " BLUE CHIP" sites. The retail management capabilities of THE PLACE HOLDINGS will boost the strategic partnership with MCC LAND in SIngapore and Asia. The VALUE of the other business segments of THE PLACE HOLDINGS is not reflected yet.... DYODD... |

The Place has only 20% stake at the Tanah Merah site(ura 99yrs leasehold). MCCL has 80%. It is next to Tanah Merah mrt station. I passed by the station often. Once the site is boarded up, it means they have building plan approval & can start selling the apartments/shops. Apartments there can easily fetch $1400+psf.
The Anson site is a freehold commercial(office) prime site with plot ratio of 5.6. Most probably will be jt developed with MCCL with The Place holding the majority. Both are "blue chip" sites. Fyi.

Their mid-long term prospects looks very promising....very surprising that a big developer like MCC Land will collaborate with them...i reckon that the retail management capabilities of THE PLACE HOLDINGS is one of the key reasons for this collaboration. Point to note..MCC Land has other retail properties in Singapore as well other Southeast Asia developments...hence there are potential for more tie-ups... Again...pls do your own DD... |

This is for longer term investment. Must wait for the 2 ppty developments, (Anson Rd & Tanah Merah Kechil) to take off. I buy some & lock up for at least 6mth to a year and hope to double or triple my investment value at least. Dyodd.
