Despite the downtrend in battery-grade lithium carbonate prices, battery-grade lithium hydroxide prices have stabilized this week.
Battery-grade lithium hydroxide monohydrate (min 56.5% LiOH.H2O) prices were at 115,000-130,000 yuan per tonne on Thursday August 16, unchanged from the previous week, according to Metal Bulletin?s market assessment. ?The Chinese lithium hydroxide market remains within a wide price range due to the premium paid for battery-grade lithium hydroxide compounds as well as for the micronized material, which holds a premium above the rest of battery-grade lithium hydroxide,? a second producer told Metal Bulletin. ?Micronized and higher purity battery-grade lithium hydroxide are trading at 130,000 yuan per tonne and slightly above, whereas the normal battery-grade material is trading as low as 115,000 yuan per tonne,? the producer added. @@@@ battery grade hydroxide is the one @@@@ lol u divide the price by 5.... u tell me is it expensive? 130k/5 = 26k SGD For a tesla battery pack it needs around 74kg of lithium = 13 battery pack 26k/12 = 2k SGD lithium cost per pack + other material ....thats why a battery selling around 5k SGD... So if lithium prices move further down... it will benefit the EV cost curve and EV adoption will be faster.... demand will be higher...means more profit for EV sector and also miner as higher vol.. |

Bankers still trying hard to stop the raise of lithium...
Mainly due to few reasons... 1) major oil and gas had huge debt with banks, and if they fail the banks will be in trouble 2) they are trying hard to hit the brake on EV... such as under funding the sector ... spreading fake news to undermine confidence in the sector... their objective is to disrupte investment into the sector so EV will not raise as fast... 3) Elon musk is a victim of the establishmemt but he is truly doing a good job with its tesla model 3.... if u dont believe go youtube and watch tesla model 3 unbox 4) major oil billionaire and bankers are trying hard to stop the raise of EV and our Trump is a puppet that is working for those people behind the scene... (military and oil major) many policy that are suppose to stop our earth heating up has been roll back by Trump administration... The world is dying.... and yet our leaders are not doing more to help the earth.... remember china is used to the world leader in dirty energy and now it has transform into more greener economy... Its very sad... |

Sorry.... the oil giant know the ICE is dying.... soon cars will be powered by battery... so they want everyone to believe hydogen...so they hope to get people back to their pump for hydrogen ..... there is no good reasons even to visit petrol station if u can charge ur own car in ur garage.... (500 miles (800km) per charge u dont even have to charge it outside unless ur travelling long distance...
Look at other countries many homes can charge their car at their own garage...singapore market is very small.... give u 1million car .... thats less than what china sold for 1 month.... And if they going battery car.... we will follow... Hydrogen is best for power plant.... end of story... satefy reason... terrorist, accident etc... Soon we will see new battery technology in lithium out in tue market by 2020.... Also i found graphene battery interesting... but too bad... production is too small for mass market... So lithium is the way to go....
