Oxley at 22 cents a share cannot afford to split / stockdividend further as it will create a risk of bringing this share to a penny stock which fund managers would be reluctant to own...

This price is a steal indeed . Oxley has about 7.5 bil of GDV (gross development value) - see their recent corporate presentation slides . this would translate to about 35 cents EPS assuming net profit margin of 20%.   |

I attended Oxley IPO presentation by Ching many years back. The ipo price was abt 40+c then( if I remember correctly). Ching is a bubbly chap oozed with confident in his presentation. I quite like him & he started this shoe box things. It was a roaring success & he could make it big if not for Authority putting restriction on minimum size on shoe box development. He has big ambitions to grow Oxley & typically a creative businessman.
He is now facing economic headwinds becos of this covid 19. I am confident that he & his team can ride through this crisis to emerge stronger. I am vested becos of its management strenght. |

(Bloomberg) --  Rising global optimism about a coronavirus treatment is prompting a top Singapore analyst to take a bullish view of pandemic-hit small stocks in the city-state.  
Newsflow related to the development of a vaccine can stoke long bets on Covid losers, according to Jarick Seet, who was ranked by the Asiamoney Brokers Poll as Singapore&rsquo s top researcher for small-cap shares in three of the last four years. His top picks include staffing firm HRnetgroup Ltd., property developer Oxley Holdings Ltd. and event-organizer Unusual Ltd., which are all down at least 20% this year and have a  market cap  of less than S$1 billion ($736 million) each. &ldquo Vaccine optimism can make some smaller companies generate exponential returns versus large caps,&rdquo said Seet, the head of small and mid-cap research at RHB Securities. &ldquo Some money has already started shifting to Covid-hit sectors from stocks such as makers of personal protective equipment.&rdquo |

Operational Review
In the last six months of FY2020, the Group&rsquo s operations were hampered by the lockdown of varying degree in Singapore and overseas arising from the outbreak of COVID-19 virus. Construction progress is expected to be delayed by 4 to 6 months at the Singapore, Ireland and Malaysia development projects  while the development projects in the United Kingdom and Cambodia have managed to catch up on the delay caused by the partial lock-down and safe distancing measures. In Singapore, the Group has launched 11 development projects since April 2018 and the response received from buyers has been overwhelming.  As of August 2020, 3,109 units or 79.3% have been sold and total sales secured amounted $3.5 billion.  Two of the Group&rsquo s projects - Sea Pavilion Residences and The Addition (TOP achieved in April 2020) are 100% sold. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Group estimates the projects to be fully sold  within the following 12 to 15 months. During the &ldquo circuit-breaker&rdquo period, the Group used virtual showrooms to showcase the layout of the apartment units to potential buyers. After relaxation of the &ldquo circuit-breaker&rdquo control measures in early June, the Group experienced pent-up demand for the residential units.  During the period April to early August 2020, Oxley issued more than 280 option-to-purchase to the buyers, garnering sales of more than $330.0 million. Since the lifting of the &ldquo circuit-breaker&rdquo restrictions, all the Group&rsquo s construction sites in Singapore have gradually returned to full operation, and the Group can look to higher revenue, profit recognition as well as progressive billings of the sold units in the new financial year.
