SIA and govt should now quickly  liaise with Taiwan and established travel bubble with them. If travel bubble is a success. We will be famous for the 1st to make travel possible during pandemic  SIA will also gain more flights  |

I got this news from Theonelincitizenasia and posted on 28.11, but wasn' t too sure about the soure of this news and now trun out to be of some truth. Else, people would think I tried to talk down the market. In fact the price of this counter seems to be taking a different direction from the chart.

Agreed. You must have deep pockets (many pockets), can long at $9 and still holding or long at $3.30. Believed you have been collecting SIA everyday and someday your name will appear in the SIA annual report soon.

Wow, SG so rich. First bailout India bank, now India airline...................... Singapore Airlines, Tata Sons mull joint bid for Air India 01.12.2020 - 00:02 UTC Tata Sons is negotiating with its  Vistara  (UK,  Delhi Int' l) joint-venture partner  Singapore Airlines  (SQ,  Singapore Changi) about bidding together for heavily indebted  Air India  (AI,  Mumbai Int' l), sources have told the Economic Times. According to the plan, the bid would be made through full-service carrier Vistara. But even if the Singaporean carrier backs out, the Indian conglomerate is likely to pursue a bid on its own and then consolidate its airline businesses including Vistara under a single entity, the sources said. Such a move would require the waiver of a non-compete clause between the two partners, as according to this clause only Vistara - a direct competitor of Air India - has an exclusive right to undertake &ldquo full-service carrier&rdquo services within Tata Sons. &ldquo Our group chairman has clearly stated that the airline businesses have to be consolidated, and there cannot be multiple airlines. So Air India being a full-service carrier, it is only sensible that it will come under the Vistara business, which is a full-service carrier too. So we are hopeful that our partner will be willing to participate in the future plans that include Air India,&rdquo one of the sources explained. A bid via Vistara would also need the consent of the Singaporean government vehicle Temasek, which holds a 55.5% stake in Singapore Airlines. Media reports in September alleged that Temasek was reluctant about Tata considering a bid for the ailing flag carrier. https://www.ch-aviation.com/portal/news/97874-singapore-airlines-tata-sons-mull-joint-bid-for-air-india   |

All kind of people will participate in this forum. Some caught at prices higher than current price level, they screamed to drive up the prices to get back their money. Some bought around current level, also screaming to go higher to earn some money, others not vested yet, are praying for any negative news for a lower entry level. Everyone in the forum have their personal agenda. That' s why I replied to you earlier, I understand where you are coming from. As for me, SIA had edged up too fast and now reversal of trend seemed to be there after a shooting star. Like it or not, that shooting star came with heavy volume too idicating many profit takings on 25 Nov 20. I am still cautious about entering at current price level.as the airlines businesses are long way to recovery. Meanwhile. trade on the opportunities of high/low prices whenever possible. Don' t take me seriously as it' s ony my 2 cts. I don' t think the market will move bec' os of my view. DYDD..

Singapore-Hong Kong travel bubble will be delayed to next year PUBLISHED 1 HOUR AGO SINGAPORE - The launch of the  much-anticipated travel bubble to facilitate leisure travel between Singapore and Hong Kong  has been further delayed amid a rising number of Covid-19 cases in Hong Kong. The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) said in a statement on Tuesday (Dec 1) that both cities have decided to defer the start of the air travel bubble to beyond this month, given that the number of local unlinked cases in Hong Kong is still high. https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/transport/spore-hk-travel-bubble-will-be-delayed-to-next-year |
