x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	What kind of accounting is this, suka suka assign status as equity and then do not accord any responsibility as promised? SIA is supposed to respect the MCB sold hor. MCB is NOT free money without liability or no strings attached/ free ang pow money. If any dividends are to be paid until redemption, these dividends have also to be reserved for the MCB holders as a discount from the $4.84 conversion price for MCB worth $1.81 each to be converted to SIA shares in 10 years. Fact is that SIA has accepted the $3.5B as equity into its accounts but refused to acknowledge it's duty of care and liabilities to the rightful owner of the MCB equity stake (share). MCBs are bonds and convert to equity only at some future time under a set of conditions. So MCBs cannot be accounted for now as equity. So it is right for SIA to disregard the future possible conversion into equity now in its calculations. No misleading if this MCB is accounted for in the balance sheets and properly   explained in the notes to financial statements.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Did SIA mislead investors into thinking that their BVPS is 44% higher than it should be? SIA equity @30.9.2020= $15,251.5B If divide by 2.963B ordinary shares, BVPS= $5.147. If assume MCB are converted to shares (since in the calculation of SIA total equity value, MCB were classified as equity), then total shares= 4.267B, BVPS= $3.574/share. SIA should not have their cake and eat it as well,  misleading investors that their BVPS is $5.147 when this contradicts their own classification of MCB funds as equity,  right from the start of their accounting regime. I am just asking if it is acceptable for SIA to treat the MCB as an angpow (free gift), with no strings whatsoever attached, when presenting their BVPS. So that their BVPS is artificially inflated by 44%.
