The truth is global stock taking a beating, sti getting hit hardest with offshore oil industries sinking and more pain to come when oil companies default on their loan which trigger another GFC . Oil is below 50 long time due to us dollar strength and fed rate hike trend |

oil at $20 means credit bust for energy firms,,, we can go there if that is what the BB wants, financial crisis all over again.... but no point speculating all these extreme levels like the sell side analysts, trade accordingly as the news evolve.... all else b.s forecasting are just noise. |

For those looking exposure to sembcorp marine, might as well look to sembcorp industries, at least their utlities side is quite defensive in nature and contribute > 50% to their profits. Both getting tanked by the same percentage anyway. But this sell off seems like it has barely begun. I would prolly buy abit of sembcorp industries when the STI hits 2500, no price targets for this. Seems like its driven more by sentiment then fundementals. Can play technical bounce , but got to catch it at the correct time , which is incredibily difficult in a bear market. |

Thanks ! Earning warning letter alredy out and that' s very high chance with a very minimum or even no dividend given. This winter is long and its stock price will remain low for a while. Oil price will come back one day, but SembM is facing another business risk in Brazil. Lets monitor its stock price and see how. |
