Wee Hur, ISOTeam expect net losses due to pandemic impactWee Hur Holdings and ISOTeam separately announced on Tuesday that they would report net losses for, respectively, the six months and full year ended June 30.In a profit guidance released after market close, mainboard-listed property group Wee Hur said that its weaker-than-expected financial performance for H1 2021 was partly due to additional costs required to complete projects for its construction arm in Singapore. This was mainly attributed to the prolonged construction period, increase in labour costs and material prices, as well as compliance of stringent safe-management measures during the Covid-19 pandemic. Occupancy levels also fell at Wee Hur' s student accommodation portfolio in Australia due to border restrictions, while the group' s dormitory business recorded lower occupancies and reduced the number of beds. Wee Hur thus expects to report a consolidated net loss for H1 2021, following a preliminary review of its unaudited financial results. It will release the results by Aug 13. Shares in Wee Hur closed flat at S$0.21 on Tuesday before the announcement. Meanwhile, building maintenance and estate upgrading firm ISOTeam expects a net loss for its fiscal year ended June 30, given the " continued adverse impact" from the coronavirus pandemic and further provisions for impairment losses. The Catalist-listed group flagged continued labour shortages, increased costs, disruptions to raw material supply chains and disruptions to subcontractors' work due to pandemic-related restrictions. For the Pure Group entities, ISOTeam expects to make further provisions for impairment losses, due to low order books and delays in project execution. " Nevertheless, the company wishes to assure shareholders that the group has sufficient working capital to meet its operational needs and financial commitments," ISOTeam said. It will announce its full-year results on or before Aug 29. ISOTeam shares rose 4.1 per cent or 0.5 Singapore cent to finish at 12.8 cents, before its filing. |

ISOTeam should do something like LHN. Buy or master lease some properties, do up and rent out. Sooner or later, it becomes like a reit landlord. ISOteam has ALL the capabilities to do as good a job or even better than LHN. Please do it ISOteam! |

ISOteam owns a stake in Sunseap, and also a strategic partner of Sunseap. So I think ISOteam should be annoucing lots of solar contracts with Sunseap soon. Plus there is rumors that Sunseap is going to IPO soon. So should bring a windfall to ISOteam. |

Sunseap, Amazon sign agreement for clean solar energy to be tapped from JTC' s solar farmsMON, MAR 15, 2021 - 1:05 PM
AMAZON has signed an agreement with Singapore solar energy provider Sunseap Group, marking its first renewable energy project in the Republic. When completed in 2022, the project will be among the largest aggregated moveable solar energy systems designed and installed in Singapore, said Amazon in a blog post on Monday. Sunseap was awarded one of the two contracts under JTC' s SolarLand Phase 3 tender last year, as part of JTC' s efforts to make industrial estates more environmentally friendly. As part of the contract, Sunseap will install the solar systems on an estimated 40 hectares of temporary vacant land across Singapore. The 62 megwatt (MW) solar project is expected to generate 80,000 megawatt hours (MWh) of clean energy annually, enough to power more than 10,000 homes in Singapore. All of the renewable energy generated by the plant will be supplied to Amazon, to help it meet its commitment to power its operations with 100 per cent renewable energy by 2030. Amazon is on a path to meet this goal five years early by 2025. The project will supply renewable energy to Amazon offices, fulfilment centres, and AWS data centres. The Singapore project is Amazon' s latest renewable energy investment in the Asia-Pacific region. Since 2019, they have announced three wind and solar projects in Australia and one solar project in China. Together, these projects contribute about 411 MW of installed capacity and will supply more than 900,000 MWh of additional renewable energy to local electricity grids. |
