Singapore' s construction industry is slowing down due to the current oversupply of flats, but BTO constructions are still in progress and HDB has the responsibility to delivery them by the delivery possession dates,   which may well extend to 4 years from now. Up till then, foreign construction workers are still very much needed here. Not to mention the construction of the MRT lines that extend beyond 2020. If you want to sell just sell, but don' t spread false rumours here. These are facts here to stay in the long term. "Thus, as we provide foreign workers with basic accommodation, we must not neglect their social and recreational needs. Westlite has done well in this respect ? the dormitory features good recreational facilities like a gym, games room and sports courts. If you are worried about gahmen not renewing the lease, then gahmen will be striking their own feet with rocks. This is an endorsement from our manpower minister. Let's just watch what happens and stop creating a mirage of fear in this counter.

Would the buildings become a gift to the gahmen or worse still, have to be torn down? And re-instated back to bare land? I don' t have the answers. Someone please kindly respond if he has the answer.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Wondering why the CEO never bought the shares when they were trading at 20 cents for almost 1.5 years. Now after Han ans Loh sold 5% to Lian Beng then CEO started buying shares at such an elevated price of 62 cents (but very very small quantity, rather meaningless). What message are they trying to send? And the barrier to entry for the workers dormitories is surprisingly low. And they also have to pray that the government renews their very short term lease like 3 years upon expiry.
