Amazing - no share buyback by PCRD today? (PCRD had always been very prompt in announcing any share buyback cum cancellation in the past) All insiders buying today? Likely to see another round of pusing up share price tomorrow? Based on simplistic P/E ratio (17 or 18 times) of PCCW, PCRD should command 56 to 59 cts currently. Anyway, the breakup value was estimated to be abt 63 cts last yr. To be " fair" to investors in PCRD, I think Richard Li should not privatize at less than 50 cts lest he be labelled as a scumbag/exploiter. |

Let' s see whether there is a trading halt later ... and PCRD announces it has bought some 4000 lots, implying Richard Li has hit the 90% ownership mark. If Richard Li is more merciful, perhaps PCRD could be starting its share buyback today. Let' s see if there is any announcement this evening. |
