Citi Researh just released on 25 Sept a buy recommendation on STGT with target price of 145 bahts, the highest so far of all mkt analysts even before the 3rd quarters earnings release. Their estimation 3rd quarters earnings about US$130 million from looking on their accounts breakdown which is not far from estimation of US$138 million. STA on that score, likely to prompt new investors buying coming on board support ahead of STA/STGT humongous earnings. Sit tight on your long term investmemt portfolios to reap your potential rewards on STA as STA climbs a wall of short term worries as smart investors' investment philosophy are always basis on any strong fundmentally companies with visibility of strong forward earnings and as such STA is their stock pickers' choice. | ||||

Cfm for you 3rd quarters result on 13 Nov. and according to my priveleged Thai informer STGT profits confirm to be humongous and estimated at mimnim of US$138 million with 56% contribution to STA at minimum US$77 million and probable rubber profits of US$7 million coupled with minimum US$1 milion from other joint business ventures together with rubber house associate company to drive at a total of US$85 million. STA coming financial report release is expected to exceed mkt expectations and as such smart long term investors will probably get to enjoy price appreciation which may come sooner than expected after viewing STA being a fundamentally sound company with strong earnings contributions visibility for the next few quarters probably until 1st half June 2022. Remaining invested for the long horizon to suit your risk appetite is still better for choice. | ||||

Actually STA pretty religiously reports its 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarter results on the 14th of the month. This wont happen in November as the 14th is a Saturday - so I expect the results on the evening of the 13th.

Credit Suisse (CS) has initiated coverage on Sri Trang Gloves (Thailand) Public Company Limited (STGT) with an &ldquo Outperform&rdquo rating and a 12-month target price at ฿ 142.00/share, stating that the stock is the cheapest proxy to the glove sector. CS stated that the global shortage in rubber gloves has led to STGT&rsquo s unprecedented sales volume, profits and margins. STGT reported a 488% growth in 2Q20 sales, compared to the same period last year and an increase of 150%, compared to the previous quarter, however, the average selling prices (ASP) in the bulk of sales were much lower due to the orders being contracts locked-in. STGT expects its ASP in 3Q-4Q/20 to increase by 70% and 12% QoQ, respectively. Despite lower ASP compared to its peer, CS pointed out that it will give upside to STGT, while reducing the impact to a minimum if the trend reversed. Aside from being at an advantage of rich resources for latex and support by STA as the largest Thai upstream producer, STGT topped its peers by having lower fuel cost and the 3% interest rate subsidy from the government measure throughout 2026. More importantly, STGT planned to expand its production capacity to 66 billion pieces p.a. by 2026 and will continue to focus on latex gloves, while other producers mostly focused on nitrile space for their expansion instead. CS noted that the demand upside from low usage, emerging countries like China and India should benefit STGT more than others. CS forecasted STGT&rsquo s 2020-2022E revenue at 25,998 million baht, 33,441 million baht and 28,658 million baht, respectively. Mecator Gloves Poland has a small glives factory in Thailand producing only 3 billion gloves annually reported US$50 million profits and its share price already back to its most recent high of 396 PLN after its consolidation. Therefore we may look forward to STGT breaking up its most recent high of 90 baht as well which probably will be the short term catalyst of breaking STA Thai high of 32.75 Bahts which now in consolidation phase within a whipsawing mkt. Climbing a wall of short term worries, I must say. Just do not be discouraged about STA being locked in a range for what ever reason. Just only need to hold on to your strong conviction on better price performance for STA in days ahead!!! | ||||

Winter is the worst flu season in Europe and America. With flu symptoms by default suspision is Covid which is bound to increase demand for PPE for next 8 months. Really hard to imagine PPE demand or price going down even if a dependable vaccine goes into mass production early next year. At this point a stock market correctioin or a limited intensity war more likely scenario before yearend. However it may not affect medical ppe makers that much compared to tech and bluechips. Just some thoughts on probable scenarios. Ofcourse no one can predict future. |
