So the question is, with so much cash in the bank account, is the price reasonable, ignoring all other financial metrics to simplify matters for you. Comparatively, in the previous RIGHTS Issue, around $1.5b of the Rights proceed was used to rescue SCI by paying off this debt to them, which explained why SCI shot up exponentially. But this time round, most of the Rights proceed is intact. So when you are talking the Price being very overvalued, you miss the context. To simplify, if today, you start a business and you inject $100 cash for 10 shares, then the price of each share should be worth at least $10 intrinsically. Subsequently, the price depends on whether the company makes profit or loss. BUT BASED ON TODAY, IT SHOULD BE WORTH $10. This explained the anomaly. Even more importantly, when you look at other financial metrics like gearing and NAV, this share is attractive if not seductive. Of course today, you will have some luck in your calling, but I can tell you it's an aberration.
