Education groups supported Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar&rsquo s call to emulate Singapore&rsquo s English-medium education system.

Parents Action Group for Education (PAGE) chair Datin Noor Azimah Rahim pointed out that 200 buses with schoolchildren commute from Johor to neighbouring S' pore daily, which she said was a &ldquo poor&rdquo reflection of Malaysia&rsquo s education system.

&ldquo I think he has raised this issue because Johor is especially affected,&rdquo she told Malay Mail Online today.

News portal Malaysiakini reported. Sultan Ibrahim as saying in his address at the Johor state assembly sitting that Johoreans should be open to change regarding Malaysia&rsquo s education system, citing S' pore&rsquo s unity that was fostered from the republic&rsquo s single-stream education system with English as its medium of instruction.

The state ruler reportedly said a single-stream education system would foster racial integration and produce a united and harmonious society.

The Johor Sultan can challenge the 1994 amendments to the Federal Constitution that curtailed the rights and privileges of the rulers as changes to the supreme law were not brought to the attention of the Conference of Rulers, an academician said.

Constitutional law expert Abdul Aziz Bari said alternatively, Putrajaya could invoke Article 130 to get an opinion on the amendment from the Federal Court.

"The Sultan may put up a challenge in the Federal Court as the amendment made by (then prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad) was not taken by the Conference of Rulers," he told The Malaysian Insider.

Mr LHL also announced the building it  terminus at Jurong East and  plans to transform the area into a second Central Business District.

i dont agree wif wat u said abt Dr M... Though deadleeeeee  does some contributions riding on the good locations platform and architecture and strategic locations  built up by british in 50s and 60s, Dr M is 100% better in the sense morally he only jailed Anwar, only one opponent so far, and he does not bankrupt him, so giving him some air space? LOL...

Granting citizenship to Chinese and Indians was a condition for independence. In return, the special position of Malays was recognised in the Constitution.

Fact,  granting  instant citizenship to every Filipino Muslim who got off the boat from Mindanao, Sulu or Palawan, including terrorists, with the right to vote.

Dr Mahathir. Nick name 10%  used various crooked strategies to win elections to stay in power for 22 years and then rob the country blind.  Dr 10%  wouldn' t admit any wrongdoing.

In doing so. No doubt,  such crooked  scheme was an attempt to shift the political equation in Sabah in favour of the Muslims. With this Umno' s entry in 1991, the state registered a spike in population. This resulted in the ouster of the then Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) govt in 1994.

Illegals were given ICs within days by Mahathir, arriving  by  boats. The evidence revealed at the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) clearly bears testimony to the ground reality.

Mahathir as Premier.  Can' t even explain why?. Sabah' s population increase quadrupled between 1970 and 2010, and why Muslims made up the entire increase?

Mahathir with Indian blood, is purely to populate on his crooked promises after promises.
